真好看，是非常富于过渡和含糊的那种好看。因为时间从热带雨林里渐渐泄漏掉了，所以生命无可避免地转变成水晶，惨烈的光芒引诱被放逐和自我放逐的人：光和暗、内与外、生前和死后，巴拉德找到最适于隐喻的隐喻，将这个故事几乎每个可能的切面都照亮了。活人变成水晶，既非常可写（纸浆小说风格）也非常抓眼（影视改编基本没可能吧，但只想一下都非常过瘾），利用好这个想象力的枢纽，无聊的南方殖民地探险故事立刻结晶成危险且复杂的的灾难寓言，读者无暇顾及寓言的外部到底存在什么（如果你觉得什么都在，那何尝不是是什么都没有
