跟上一本联系起来,忽然明白why the authority was so nervous when Zhao Ziyang passed away, because Tian’anmen Square Incident was an accident after Hu Yaobang’s death. 但从政治经济的角度来看,这本跟吴晓波的《激荡三十年》联系起来看更好。

这两年见的事情越多,越赞同两位作者对开放观念市场的呼吁。只有靠充分自由流动的信息改变人,才能有足够多的人对制度变迁形成压力。在开放社会中小团体自主坚守自己的体系是一回事(如基布兹);不知有汉无论魏晋地认定“没办法”,“中国从来就是这样的”,继而维持旧制度,是完全不同的另一回事。
作者认为,中国的市场经济之路正是边缘革命取代规划的历程。(此前我也认为,是不管,而非管的好的功劳。)后面关于思想市场的政改建议,逻辑上出彩,但时至今日,只留唏嘘了。论述体系严密,考证充分而认真,书写极具诚意。
虽然对我的文献综述没有多大帮助,但还是有好多观点被刷新

写得真好,文盲必看
哈哈, a book about the last dynasty
时隔三年后读原版,公道地说的确是改革开放史的合格入门读物,全面记录了二十年的变革(2000后很少涉及),观点上也很难挑出毛病。但问题在于,此书作者并非一般人,所期望其写出的也应当有自己的独到学术见地。而本书最重要观点正是题目本身(在中文版中被完全阉割),但对于Capitalism with Chinese characteristics究竟有什么特殊表现,书中只给出了一个最重要观点——缺乏自由思想市场以保证创新,最应体现全书核心的最后一章却是最空洞的一章,只有前面关于边缘革命如何异军突起、突破state-led agenda的历史叙述,还算有点意义。
