  • "(This happened during RBG and Marty's years at Ohio) Seeing the unfairness of petty bureaucracy and how it fell harder on some people's shoulders than others, RBG began bending the rules, just a little. Week after week, she saw the same weathered faces coming in to try to register for Social Securit"
  • "Women lose power with age, and men gain it."
  • "There's full marriage and then there's sort of skim milk marriage."
  • ""Dear," said Evelyn, whom Kiki would soon call Mother, "I'm going to tell you the secret of a happy marriage: It helps sometimes to be a little deaf." In her outstretched hand were a pair of earplugs. It took some time for RBG to understand what Evelyn was trying to tell her. During the honeymoon in"
  • "Evelyn had often comforted her, but this time it was Morris's words that shook her out of her panic. "Ruth, if you don't want to go to law school, you have the best reason in the world and no one would think less of you, " Morris said. "But if you really want to go to law school, you will stop feeli"
  • "Women's rights advocates needed to think bigger. What the country needed was a broader recognition of gender equality, whether in headgear or federal policy."
  • ""Fight for the things that you care about, " RBG advised young women, "but do it in a way that will lead others to join you." RBG always tells her clerks to paint the other side's arguments in the best light, avoiding personal insults. She is painstaking in presenting facts, on the theory that the t"

That's why RBG gets Notorious。 RBG对Roe v.
"be a lady and be independent" "Do I want this or not? And if I do, I'll do it."
Be a lady and Be independent. ‘Be a lady’ means, don’t let yourself to be overcomed by useless emotions like anger, as a waste of time and emotions. By independent, she meant it would be fine if you met Prince Charming and live happily ever after. But be able to manage on yourself.
There is no biological connection whatsoever between the function of washing its clothes, preparing its food, and trying to bring it up to be a good and harmonious person.
